Who this notice is for
This notice applies when you visit examfiles.co.za, download a paper, use a learner tool, or send us a message. ExamFiles is responsible for the personal information described here.
Information we process
Essential technical data may include security logs, request timestamps, browser information and short-lived download-cache records. If you contact us, we process the name, email address, topic and message you submit. If you allow analytics cookies, Luminum records page visits, sessions, device type and approximate country so we can improve navigation and reliability.
Why we use it
We use information to deliver requested files, keep the service secure, diagnose failures, answer messages, measure whether pages are useful and improve the paper catalogue. We process only what is reasonably necessary for these purposes.
Cookies and consent
Necessary cookies keep the website and consent settings working. Optional analytics remain off unless you allow them. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. See our cookie policy for details.
Sharing and storage
Luminum provides our analytics, consent and contact-inbox infrastructure. Hosting and security providers may process limited technical data for us. We do not sell personal information. Information may be stored or processed using service providers outside South Africa only with appropriate safeguards.
Retention and security
We keep contact messages only while they are needed to resolve the request and meet legitimate record-keeping needs. Analytics and operational logs are retained according to configured service periods. We use access controls, encrypted connections and restricted administrator access, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
Your rights
Subject to the Protection of Personal Information Act, you may ask whether we hold your information, request access or correction, object to certain processing, request deletion where applicable, or complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator.
Contact and complaints
Use our contact form and choose “Privacy request”. You may also contact the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Changes
We may update this notice when our services or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
